Paragliding

Learning...

Kelli made it down!

The wind is incredibly strong! It knocked me over here.

Me getting my harness on.

Paragliding was always something that piqued my interest. So after years of thinking about how I should try it one day, I called up my sister Kelli and asked her to take a course with me. She said yes and we learned how to paraglide! It was so much fun! We had an inside class for a few hours and then 2 days on the (small) hill. It was just the basics and we got our beginner certifications. We always said we would continue on (we took that class 2 years ago!) - but then she got pregnant, I slipped 2 discs in my back, and now she is pregnant again! One day, I know we will do it again, she just needs to stop having kids (jokes!). I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else but her and now it is something we share.

Have you ever done something you always wanted? Would you ever want to learn to paraglide (I promise it is fun!)

That's so awesome you shared the experience with your sister (sisters are the best!). I'd love to try this one day.

P.S. Had a good laugh over your comment about the gelato - thanks for the smile :)

Jude - I seriously started to drool from that picture! Looks so amazing and hazelnut and chocolate is my favourite combination!

And yes, sisters are the best! I am lucky to have one older and one younger! Do you have any?

I've never tried it, the thing I'd love to do is to sky dive. I've always been fascinated by the red devils and have seen photos of there shows but my problem is that I'm asthmatic so its something I'd probably never get to do :(
