Window frames
When Joe first moved here from Pittsburgh, I wanted him to feel more at home. I had a few really cool photos that he had taken around Pittsburgh and blew them up in black and white. I put each one in a different frame of the old window and it now hangs above our bed (maybe I'll get around to taking a picture sometime). It is one of my favourite things in our home and I like the idea of using old window frames - so I immediately loved this when I saw it!

Sleep
Usually, I am one of those people who never has any issues with sleep. I love sleep. But every once in awhile, I have periods where I have the hardest time falling asleep. I must be in one now because the past few nights I have been unable to fall asleep until late and then I sleep terribly. Even right now, it is past 12:30 and Joe is happily snoring away beside me.What do you do when you can't sleep? Count sheep? Warm milk? A hot shower? Read? Sometimes those work for me, but lately it seems like nothing is helping. Any suggestions?

Charley Harper + The Hobbit

Really loving these prints by Charley Harper, especially the alphabet one. I love having art like this around my home. It makes me very happy.
Also, my friend Linda over at Heartfire At Home is having an awesome contest where she is giving away a copy of one of her favourite stories The Hobbit every month this year! Stop by and enter - all you have to do is leave a comment! I won last month and was so excited to receive it! She wrapped it up so pretty and even sent a card. It was so nice!

A weekend behind
Finally, here are a few photos from last weekend!
When we got to Justin and Sangva's wedding, the wedding party was dressed in traditional outfits and the bride and groom pinned these flowers on each guest.
During the reception, the wedding party went around to each table to take a drink with everyone, say hello, and accept gifts. We were told that it is tradition for the guests to stand on their chairs and the groom lifts the bride and she has to try to get the envelope (that has money in it). It was really cool to see!
The next day we went bowling! The bowling alley in Brooks has been closed for almost 10 years, but recently opened back up! It is like going in a time machine - so 70s! We had so much fun and Ainsley loves it!

This weekend has been much more low key and relaxing which was much needed.
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Have a great weekend!

The weekend is here and this crazy week is finally over! Now I will have a few days to catch up :) Joe and I are going out for dinner and drinks tonight and tomorrow I am going to hot yoga again (I am starting to really like it!). Sunday will probably be spent being lazy around the house and playing Professor Layton. Can't wait!
What are your plans this weekend?
PS - This is a picture of Pittsburgh, PA. It is Joe's hometown and we are spending Christmas there with his family this year. It is a beautiful city!
