Drowning

I have felt like I just cannot keep up with anything these past few weeks. With a full time job, a contract position, a volunteer position, plus a few personal issues I am trying to sort out - I am drowning. I am not able to find that much time for myself. I need to slow down, calm down, and refocus...easier said than done.

Do any of you meditate? The past few nights I have been going to bed a bit earlier to just lay there and breathe. It has really helped me sleep better and feel a little less frazzled. I am thinking of learning more about meditation; I don't know anything about it besides quiet and deep breathing. I am sure there is more to it then just that. I just need to find some balance. Any suggestions?

The best meditation is simply to sit or lie down and focus on the breath, trying to keep the mind here and now (easier said than done!).

Don't go spending your money on meditation techniques or books. That's my FREE advice ;-)

I do the same thing, deep breathing helps me calm my mind.

Sad to hear that you are swamped with work and life in general! Have no experience with meditation but keep my fingers crossed that you get some rest this Easter :)

Hugs,
